BY THE WAY. Changi Village Food Centre is far away from Changi Safra. Looks like S'pore isn't as small as it can be.

FAQs. Some of the topics might have been mentioned before, but it's summarized in this format to make things clearer.

Note : Notice the things with "tell me if you want it, or it won't be on the shopping list". These are the things that will only be bought IF at least 4 people tell me they don't hate it, and like it.

Q : When is it?
A : Monday, 12 Nov (starts at around 4pm) to Wednesday, 14 Nov (where we have to check out by 10am). We are at Chalet #35, located relatively near the swimming pool.

Q : What does the $12 cover and not cover?
A : Your $12 covers the cost of the chalet which is $231.12, (read below posts) the cost of the BBQ things from EZB ($51.20) (food, charcoal..etc.),cost of the second day's lunch, cost of first day's dinner, cost of all the misc. items from Cold Storage ($146.90) Your $12 does not cover things like the expenses if you go bowling at Changi Safra, rental of skates/bikes..etc.

Q : What are we eating? Part I.
A : First, here's an overview of the meals.

Yes, breakfast is optional. Breakfast times are flexible. You can eat brunch instead if you want.

Q : What are we eating? Part II.
A : Day One's dinner- delivery food (Mac and KFC.) savoured (hehe) at the beach.

Day Two's breakunch- Chocolate hazelnut bread. Strawberry jam bread. Biscuits. (There's a microwave if you want to heat leftovers.)

Day Two's 3pm food- Cup Noodles, Sandwiches (tuna mayo spread, Cabbages, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Chocolate hazelnut spread, Strawberry jam spread)

Day Two's dinner- BBQ. Food list includes chicken wings, satay, sausages, fishballs, crabsticks, marshmellows for us to roast, toasted bread.

Day Three's super early breakfast- Anything goes.

Extra snacks- 2 tins Red Lion Assorted Biscuits

Food for the movie marathon/ Misc.- Jack 'n' Jill's, Pringles, Twisties, Honey Tomatoes aka "baby" tomatoes, Lots of Bananas. Grapes.

Drinks- The usual. Pepsi, Green Tea, Sprite, F&N Grape, Coke..etc.

: What are we doing?
A : Aha. Can you plan fun? Nope. Fun is something that happens, and hopefully, nobody is confused with the notion that I am responsible for your having fun. You are responsible for your own fun. Here are some of the fixed activities that we are doing, in a vague chronological order : Treasure Hunt / Swimming (at the pool) / TV (StarHub Cable TV & DVD movies) / Karoke (either at the KTV rooms, or in the chalet) / Wading (at the beach), Beach Ball Games/ Rollerblading (use those skills!) / Biking, Nightwalk, Card Games / Mahjong (included in the chalet) / Board Games / Games that use your mouth, like 'Truth or Dare', 'I Never' (without drinking), 'Two Truth and One Lie"..etc. / Movie Marathon / Bowling (at Changi Safra). There'll definitely be "Free Time" inbetween said activities for you to mingle / laze around.

Q : What if I can't sleep overnight?!
A : If reasoning with your parents don't work..then..ouch. If all else fails, you can choose to go back home after the dinner (there are staff buses leaving Changi Safra, latest bus at 10.30pm), and come back the next day, where you'll reach at like 10am + earliest. And then repeat the same thing that night. Inconvenient? Tell that to your parents. Hopefully they'll be magnanimous and graciously allow you to have fun.

Q : What movies are we renting?
A : The 3 DVDs we're renting from VideoEzy are : Napoleon Dynamite, Little Miss Sunshine and Boo. Bring your own DVDs too!

Q : How can I contribute / help?
A : More ways than one :D You could bring your own DVDs, you could bring extra sleeping bags in case some don't have them, you could bring along balls (eg. volleyball), you could bring along board games! and poker cards!, you could organise activities you want to have (like, waterbomb fights..etc) Please tag the tagboard when you've graciously decided to lend a hand.

Q : What to eat for Day One's Dinner?
A : We're ordering takeout, baby! Macdonalds and KFC. I got everything covered. We have to buy at least $18 worth from Mac, and $13 from KFC. Whee!

Q : What are the prices of the food from Cold Storage?

Q : What are the bare necessities?
A : At least 2 sets of clothes, 2 sets of underwear, 1 swimming costume (just in case), A SLEEPING BAG, toiletries : shampoo, soap, face washing thing..etc., at least one towel, suntan lotion, balls, torchlights, (to be continued)

Q : How to get there?
A : For those who don't want to take daddy's / mummy's car, you can take the Green Line (EW line) to Tanah Merah MRT Station, where there will be staff buses leaving the station at certain times. (10am, 10.30am...3.30pm, 5pm..etc.) Check the schedule out here. The pick up point is at EXIT A of Tanah Merah MRT, near the taxi stand. The staff bus, capacity of 40, will leave at 3.30pm sharp. It's scary when you're the only one waiting all the way out there, so make sure you arrive at 3.15 to hunt for the pickup point. The next bus, if you miss the 3.30pm one, will be at 5pm. Oh, please take the 3.30pm one, the "itineray" starts at 4pm. (The bus takes "about 15min".)

Q : What random info is there?
A : All information is misc., and accurate. Got them from calling bungalow reception. Whee!
#1 : The cutlery provided only extends to spoons, forks and chopsticks. We'll be getting our own disposable cups and plates (for the BBQ). #2 : The Pool closes at 9pm. It opens at 8am on our second day, Tuesday. It opens at 12nn on Wednesday. #3 : They provide a DVD player, Starhub Cable TV and a Karoke VCD player. #4 : The chalet's "doors" are open 24 hrs, and are guarded by guards. This means, that if we want to have a little nightwalk outside the resort, we do not have to rush back at any certain time. #5 : The front desk's operating hours are 9am to 8pm.

Q : Is the food Halal?
A : Is the sky blue? Omg, after shopping on sunday, I can spot the Halal symbol from far away already. Everything is definitely Halal. You can kick me if it's not Halal.

Q : (For parents) What numbers can I call?
A : My number (i'm MIN YI) is 906 223 07. The Bungalow Reception number is 654 220 36.

Q : (For parents) Can parents come too?
A : PLEASE DO, especially if it makes you more confident about allowing your maturing young adult to have an amazing experience with their peers of two whole years. Feel free to call me with any questions you have. Help me help you!

9.30pm : Movie Screen of BOO!
11.15pm : Nightwalk!
after that : free time! sleep? watch movies? cards? play T/D? twister? cards? board games? TV? planned game?

Day Two
9 - 10am : Pool games! (eg. water polo)
10 - 11am : Beach games! (eg. captain's ball)
11 - 12nn : Tennis-Court games! (eg. tag, poisonball)
12.30 - 1.30pm : Lunch!
1.30 - 5.30pm : Free time! (rollerblade, cycle, frolick in sand, TV (?!) bowling, arcade, sleep, etc. )
6.30 - 8pm : BBQ time!
8 - 10pm : night games! (pass the parcel, twister, cards, board games, T/D?, etc.)
10 pm : Movie marathon!

NOTE : Don't forget, we also have to BATHE! There're two bathrooms, one upstairs one downstairs. Guys and girls, bathe fast fast!

randomNOTE : This isn't the complaint department, and it you really don't have to find fault with everything, and dump all your problems here. How this would really work, would be for you to come up with at least two solutions before complaining about a problem.
